Cutting Board Refinish Bundle - Board Oil

This bundle is your best choice if your board needs more than just a refresh and re-applying of oil or wax but has some more significant nicks and cuts that need more intense sanding. Also, if your board has a prior finish that needs removing or has contamination that needs cleaning then this bundle is contains everything you could need.

How much finish product do you need?

If you only have a single or maybe 2 boards, the base option of a single each of 2 oz of Oil and 2 oz of Wax is sufficient for multiple maintenance applications  - you can go a year or longer with this set, depending on your boards size and usage.

If you have more than 2 boards, or other additional wood items you want to maintain, or your boards are rather large and possibly extraordinarily dry, we suggest to either choose a larger size of the oil and wax or add a multiples to your purchase.

Sanding Suggestions

As far as your sanding options go - Backside Sandpaper is meant for the final touch, such as hand sanding of curves, contours and shapes and to get that perfectly smooth surface in the end.

This bundle includes a set of one sheet each of  80/120/180/220 grit sandpaper.

Heavy Sanding - Use an electric Sander first

If your boards have heavy scratches and cuts, you should first use an electric sander with appropriate grits to sand out the majority of the scratches and cuts. Then you can start using Backside Sandpaper to get the board just perfect. Backside Sandpaper lasts much longer than other sandpaper and a single pack can easily cover your finish hand sanding needs for more than one item (depending on it's size). It never hurts to order more than one though!
