For decades, woodworkers relied on Johnson’s Paste Wax for everything from furniture care to tool maintenance. With that product now discontinued, RMP Finishes has developed the superior successor. We have engineered this formula to provide the same trusted utility—lubricating table saws, protecting cast iron, and sealing timber—but with a modern, eco-conscious improvement: it is completely odorless.

Ingredients

• Carnauba Wax flakes
• Beeswax
• Candelilla Wax
• Pigments (Brown version only)
• Highly refined, odorless mineral spirits

RMP Finishes Paste Wax is formulated with a heavy concentration of Carnauba Wax—the hardest natural wax known and sourced from palm tree leaves. Unlike traditional products that fill the room with fumes, we use a highly refined, truly odorless mineral spirit solvent, making application pleasant and safe. Our Brown variation is further enhanced with natural iron oxide pigments to achieve a deep, warm patina.

Available Colors: Clear (for invisible protection) and Brown (for creating patina and hiding nicks).

Two Versatile Variations

• Clear: The perfect all-rounder. Use to add a high-gloss sheen to milk paint, seal raw wood, or as a paste wax for table saw tops and other machinery. It reduces friction, allowing wood to glide smoothly over cast iron surfaces while preventing rust.
• Brown: Ideal for restoration. This variation imparts an “aged” look, instantly adding patina to new finishes or filling in minor scratches and defects on older furniture. It delivers a rich, warm glow that enhances the natural beauty of the grain.
